From 1 January 2025, there are number of changes to our certifications coming into effect. Whether you’re yet to apply for certification, have an application in progress or are already certified, you should be aware of these changes and how they affect you.
The changes are reflected in updated versions of the Framework Rules and Sub-rules, as well as associated Framework documentation, and a summary of the changes is provided below.

Changes to Certified Insulation Installer Pre-requisites
The pre-requisites for CII certification no longer includes CPCCPC3027 – Install ceiling insulation products.
Please note that the Training Providers may still deliver CPCCPC3027 as part of a training package during a period of transition.
Changes to anonymisation rules for all certifications
Applications for Certified Insulation Installer are no longer assessed anonymously, bringing the CII certification in line with the other EEC certifications.
Candidates for all certifications may redact commercially confidential information from their documentation prior to submitting their applications.
Changes to Certified Insulation Installer assessment process
Candidates for Certified Insulation Installer certification will now be required to undertake an interview with their assigned assessor, bringing the CII assessment process in line with the other EEC certifications.
Changes to Certified Insulation Installer evidence requirements
Candidates for Certified Insulation Installer certification are required to ensure their face is visible in their video evidence prior to putting on any relevant PPE.
